Arts Council Korea (ARKO), in collaboration with the Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan, is pleased to host the 5th Asian Art Roundtable in Seoul, taking place from Saturday, October 3 to Sunday, October 4.Launched by the Agency for Cultural Affairs in 2023, the Asian Art Roundtable is an international collaborative project supporting exchanges and joint research among emerging curators across Asia. Over the past three years, curators from across Asia have explored the themes of Community, Spirituality, and Migration, sharing perspectives on key issues facing contemporary Asian societies and art while developing questions and artistic practices for seeing Asia anew.Building on the research and discussions of the past three years, this year's edition in Seoul will bring together diverse perspectives on contemporary Asia and create a space to reflect on its present and future. We warmly invite you to join us for the International Symposium on Saturday, October 3 and the roundtables on Community, Spirituality, and Migration on Sunday, October 4. Shirata Yoshinori — Senior Specialist, Arts and Culture Division, Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan / 일본 문화청 예술문화과 선임전문관자문위원 소개 Introduction of Advisors가타오카 마미 Kataoka Mami — Director, Mori Art Museum / 모리미술관 관장김선정 Kim Sunjung — Artistic Director, Art Sonje Center / 아트선재센터 예술감독피 리 Pi Li — Founding Director, Róng Museum / 융미술관 창립관장13:40-15:45 세션 1 기조강연과 토론 Keynote Speeches and Discussion기조강연 Keynote Speeches나카지마 다카히로 Nakajima Takahiro — Professor, Institute for Advanced Studies on Asia, University of Tokyo / 도쿄대학 동양문화연구소 교수김현미 Hyun Mee Kim — Professor, Department of Cultural Anthropology, Yonsei University / 연세대학교 문화인류학과 교수한병철 Byung-Chul Han — Philosopher and Cultural Theorist / 철학자·문화이론가종합 토론 Discussion — 기조연사와 자문위원의 종합 토론 Discussion with Keynote Speakers and Advisors15:45-16:00 휴식 Break13:40-15:45 세션 2 아시안 아트 라운드테이블 워킹그룹 발표와 토론Asian Art Roundtable Working Group Presentations and Discussion공동체 Community레온하르트 바르톨로메우스 Leonhard Bartolomeus — Curator, Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media (YCAM) / 야마구치정보예술센터(YCAM) 큐레이터고토 오코 Goto Oko — Curator, Art Tower Mito / 아트타워 미토 큐레이터쉬스유 Shi-yu Hsu — Independent Curator and Researcher / 독립 큐레이터·리서처리 지아 Li Jia — Independent Curator and Researcher / 독립 큐레이터·리서처현오아 Hyun OhAh — Curator, MMCA Cheongju / 국립현대미술관 청주 학예연구사영성 Spirituality질 엔젤 천 Jill Angel Chun — Associate Curator, Tai Kwun Contemporary / 타이쿤 컨템포러리 어소시에이트 큐레이터구로사와 세이하 Kurosawa Seiha — Independent Curator / 독립 큐레이터왕웨이웨이 Wang Weiwei — Curator (Exhibitions and Collections), CHAT / CHAT 큐레이터(전시·소장)우 모 Wu Mo — Sigg Curator, M+ / M+ 시그 큐레이터이주 Migration베라 메이 Vera Mey — Associate Professor, Contemporary Art History and Theory, Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford / 옥스퍼드대학교 러스킨 미술학교 현대미술사·이론 부교수이지원 Lee Jiwon — Head of Curatorial, Sharjah Art Foundation / 샤르자 아트 파운데이션 큐레토리얼 총괄임수영 Sooyoung Leam — Independent Curator and Art Historian / 독립 큐레이터·미술사가류첸시 Chelsea Qianxi Liu — Chief Curator, UCCA Center for Contemporary Art / UCCA 현대미술센터 수석 큐레이터야하기 마나부 Yahagi Manabu — Associate Curator, Mori Art Museum / 모리미술관 어소시에이트 큐레이터유지원 Jiwon Yu — Independent Curator / 독립 큐레이터종합 토론 DiscussionDAY 2 · 2026.10.4.(일) 라운드테이블 Roundtable (예술가의집)12:30-13:30 점심 네트워킹 Networking Lunch13:30-16:00 라운드테이블 아시아를 바라보는 시선과 질문들Perspectives and Questions on Asia공동체 Community레온하르트 바르톨로메우스 / Program is subject to change. Agency for Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan사무국: 아시안 아트 라운드테이블 사무국(AMCN) / Bureau of Asian Art Roundtable 젝(AMCN Ltd.)
